Working with MAVIS

MAVIS is delighted to work with research, education and industry partners on projects, events, talks and seminars both nationally and internationally. The decision to collaborate is based on the relevancy of the project to MAVIS programme learning outcomes, the timing within our schedule, and a clear assessment of the resources available to deliver the project to a successful outcome.

• Please contact us in good time - our planning for term one is finalised the second week in January and for term two the third week in June.
• The most efficient use of our administrative resources is for you to direct communication through the Programme Director. Likewise we will work with one liaison person in the partner organisation.
• We expect to be kept informed at all stages, including timely consultation on the release of press and web information.
• MAVIS operates in multiple venues across the city and in Europe. The burden of administration should never be put on these venue institutions; all consultation must go through MAVIS.
• For events open to the public adequate care and consideration must given to the audience. This includes the use of professional amplification equipment, a venue appropriate to the scale and nature of the event, the public communication of a fire evacuation plan, RSVP and on-door guest lists, and the timely communication of background research resources to all attendees.

Shared vision, timely communication and the accurate assessment of available resources are key to good partnerships with MAVIS.
