Deirdre Morrissey (b. Dublin 1979) Graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2003 with a BA in Fine Art & MA in Visual Art Practices (Curating) from IADT in 2006. She is co director of The Market Studios, Dublin & co-curator of its programmed exhibition space UNIT H. The Market Studios was established with artist & writer Monica Flynn & curator Claire Behan in 2007, with an aim to establish itself as a locus for other arts practioners to gather and engage with. Working within UNIT H she intends to create a platform for a variety of events to develop from its curatorial programme with a focus on showcasing new international talent. Other independent projects have included working with other local artist led galleries & on larger scale projects with Claire Behan for Dun Laoghaire Co Council.
